Pacific facilities have been scrambling to find out how many babies they have in their care and where they are from.
As the US Census Bureau has warned, the nation’s birthrate is dropping fast.
But the fertility centers are failing to keep up.
And a new report by Pacific fertility centers shows they are also failing to plan for the population boom that is expected to come with the new century.
They aren’t keeping up with demand, they aren’t planning to accommodate the growing number of people who are bringing babies into the country, and they aren.
“We don’t have any idea of how we’re going to get the numbers up,” said Carol Tassler, the executive director of the Pacific Federation of Families.
The birthrate in the US has declined from around 3.4 children per woman in the mid-1990s to around 1.9 children per women in 2014.
This year, the country’s birth rate is predicted to decline from around 4.6 children perwoman to around 2.3 children perwomen.
That means that a birth in America today is roughly the same as it was in 1990.
But in 2020, the population will be much higher.
“If you are a fertility center, your goal is to keep the birthrate as high as possible,” said Julie DeStefano, the senior director of family and life sciences at the Pacific Institute for Family Research.
DeStefana said that’s a tough balancing act for the nation.
“The US is a very high birth rate, so we’ve had a lot of babies in the last few decades.
We’ve got a lot more people coming into the US, and so the problem is that we don’t know what we’re doing.”
And in a report released Tuesday, the institute found that many of the facilities are not being able to predict exactly how many births they will get this year and how many people will arrive in the country this year.
It also found that fertility centers in Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming have a combined total of around 1,500 pregnancies per year.
“They’ve got no idea how many of those babies are going to be born in 2020,” said DeSteffano.
The report found that in addition to being unprepared for the rising birthrate, the facilities also aren’t adequately training staff and providing adequate care to pregnant women.
“It’s an incredible challenge for us to train and educate staff and staff, and to make sure that all of the pregnant women are being trained properly,” DeSteftan said.
The institute also found high rates of sexual harassment and mistreatment of women, including rape and sexual assault.
And the report found poor treatment of the elderly and disabled and underinsured.
DeStefians report also revealed that a large number of facilities, including the University of Idaho and the University at Buffalo, had an unusually high percentage of women who had a “sexual encounter” with an employee, including sexual contact while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The report found a higher rate of sexual assault of women at fertility centers, including a large percentage of incidents involving women who were too intoxicated to consent.
The National Coalition for Pregnancy Centers, an organization representing the nation, has criticized the report, saying it’s incomplete and lacking in details.
It says that while some facilities are taking steps to address these problems, the number of incidents is still too high.
“As the U.S. population continues to rise, fertility centers will need to plan ahead to meet increasing demand,” said Kristen Wintrich, the group’s president and CEO.
“The only way to meet the demand is to increase the number and quality of birth control and family planning services available,” she said.
The coalition also called for a moratorium on new facilities that receive federal funding until the report is completed.
In response to the report released by the alliance, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report that also found there was an alarming rate of workplace harassment.
The agency found that, of 1,077 workplace incidents involving the general public in 2014, 1,069 involved women and women were victims of sexual misconduct, including vaginal, anal, oral, and oral copulation.
And while there were only a small number of workplace incidents in which women reported sexual harassment, the report notes that “the vast majority” of the incidents involved women who reported being sexually harassed.
“Women in these workplace environments experience a variety of gender-based discrimination, including verbal, physical, and sexual harassment,” the report states.
In its response to those findings, the BLS said it’s working to increase its training for all of its workforce.
It has a goal of providing 1,000 additional workers to provide a comprehensive and effective workforce-centered training program, and is developing new ways to better identify the characteristics of women in particular types of jobs.
